According to reports from Iran, on Sunday, October 2nd, Iranian security forces violently attacked student protesters at Sharif University in Tehran. In another video, security forces are chasing dozens of students in the university’s underground parking lot. There have been reports of security forces shooting at protesters with pellet guns.

Protests were held yesterday in several Iranian universities and in the cities of Tehran, Yazd, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Shiraz and Mashhad and the protesters chanted against the Islamic Republic leadership.

Despite the increase in the number of those who have been killed in the protests and intensifying crackdown, the protests in Iran have not subsided. A human rights organization based in Norway has announced 133 have been killed in protests so far, of which more than 40 have been killed in Zahedan.

The violent crackdown of protests by the Islamic Republic security forces has sparked international condemnations against the regime. On the other hand, the Islamic Republic leader Ayatollah Khamenei blamed US and Israel for street protests during his recent speech.
